About forty boys and young men, many in fezzes, embroidered jackets and wide trousers, posed in rows before a building. The plate is titled "Deacons' School, Van", likely a school of the Archbishop of Canterbury's Assyrian Mission, which the book describes. Rotated upright from a sideways plate.
