Syriac Orthodox priest celebrating the liturgy in Hengelo, 1981
A priest and deacons in white vestments read at the lectern of the Syriac Orthodox church in Hengelo, under a chandelier and processional cross. Anefo photographed the service on 15 January 1981, when about 150 people gathered in the church to support a man and his wife whose asylum request had been refused.
